Many of our hosted events will take place outdoors, with hot daytime temperatures, followed by cooler evenings. There's always a chance of a short afternoon thundershower in the Kruger Park as well. With that in mind, below are the suggested dress codes, intended to help us all feel both elegant and comfortable throughout the weekend festivities!
Thursday Welcome Reception
To begin celebrations, we will gather for a relaxed evening of cocktails and dinner. Set in the boma—a traditional outdoor enclosure—this gathering is a chance for us all to connect and toast to an exciting weekend ahead. Casual attire is encouraged, with a light layer for the evening. While the setting is informal, we invite you to bring your personal style—chic but comfortable—for an evening under the stars.
Friday Bush Braai
Following the evening game drive, we’ll gather for a laid-back bush braai—a South African barbecue. Our photographer will join us to document this event, so we suggest comfortable attire, but with a stylish safari twist. Think elevated and relaxed with a nod to the natural surroundings. Earthy tones are a great place to start! Do bring a warm layer for the evening chill, as we'll be dining outdoors.
Wedding Day
Our ceremony will take place in the heart of the bush, surrounded by the natural beauty of the reserve. Cocktail hour will follow, then the reception with dinner and dancing. We kindly request cocktail attire for the festivities.
Ladies, a cocktail dress or dressy separates are perfect. We encourage lightweight fabrics for the daytime heat, a light layer for the evening, and a low block heel or flats for the outdoor location! Gentlemen, please wear a suit or dress shirt, tie optional. We recommend lightweight, breathable fabrics like linen or cotton.
